All CMCSS schools will operate on a two-hour delay Wednesday, January 22. Breakfast and lunch will be served.
A Cold Weather Advisory issued by the National Weather Service is in effect from 6 p.m. tonight through 9 a.m. tomorrow, with the coldest single-digit temperatures of this winter season overnight. The delay will provide additional time for temperatures to warm up for the morning commute, with temperatures expected to be above freezing by the afternoon.
Families, please ensure children are dressed appropriately this week and throughout the winter when there is cold weather. If possible, we recommend that families transport walkers and bus riders to limit their time outside. Our Transportation Department will make every effort to limit bus delays as much as possible, but please always have a plan and ensure students know to return to a warm place in the event that there is a significant delay on the route.
